Beauty queens Maxine Medina and Thia Thomalla gave their two thumbs-up for Sanya Lopez!
"Tinatanong pa ba 'yan? Tanungin natin si Sanya."
This is the response of Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina when asked if her First Yaya co-actress, Sanya Lopez, has a chance to be a beauty queen during the show's virtual finale media con.
Maxine continued, "Pero alam mo, pwedeng-pwede siya sumali if she wants, too."
"'Tsaka alam mo, nandito kami for you, Sans, if you want to join, nandito kami ni Thia to back you up."
Meanwhile, Miss Eco international 2018 Cynthia Thomalla gave a tip to Sanya and Cassy Legaspi, who they also see a potential to be a beauty queen.
She said, "Ang advice ko langay kailangan talaga alamin nila 'yung purpose why they are joining kasi hindi biro lang 'yung pageant, e."
"It's not like sasali ka, the next day wala ka ng pakielam. It's a life, parang dadalhin mo 'yan for at least two years kung manalo ka.
"Sinabi ko sa kanila, if they really want to, then go kasi kayang kaya nila from beauty, from the brain, from talents, kayang kaya nila.
"But they really need to know it by heart."
If Sanya decided to join beauty pageants, Thia assured her that she will help her to the best of her abilities.
Thia ended, "If they really want to fight for their advocacy [and join beauty pageants], then go. We will be here beside them, fighting for whatever they want to do."
Maxine and Thia were not the first beauty queens to lend their support to Sanya if she decided to join beauty pageants.
In fact, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach already encouraged Sanya to join beauty pageants as early as 2018.
